Tasks & Responsibilities
Finance Undergraduate – Mercedes-Benz
- Duration: 13 months
- Location: Milton Keynes
- Start date: 3 August 2026
- Applications close: 16 November 2025
We are looking for five enthusiastic Undergraduate Placement students to put their financial awareness, commercial insight, and interpersonal skills into action. Each student will work on topics and projects that make a difference and add value across the following departments:
- Group Controlling – Cost controller for several key areas, creating budgets and working with stakeholders to reduce costs.
- Cars Controlling – Support the MB Management Team with financial performance items, reporting, planning, and accounting tasks; create KPI dashboards.
- Vans Controlling – Support senior management with profitability analysis and financial performance reviews, month‑end closing, forecasting, KPI reporting, dealer pricing support.
- Accounting – Responsible for month‑end closing activities and intercompany invoice processing.
- Residual Value – Analyse and forecast residual values for the Mercedes‑Benz Car & Van Portfolio; support decision‑making.
- Group Tax – Gain awareness of tax compliance obligations; support Customs Compliance, VAT, Employment Taxes & Corporation Tax.
Candidate Eligibility
- Currently studying a degree with an expected 2:1 grade or above. Accounting, finance and related subjects advantageous.
- Currently studying a degree that enables you to complete a year in industry before you graduate.
- Strong organisational skills.
- IT literate and attention to detail.
- Excel skills.
- Excellent communication.
- Exceptional numerical and interpersonal skills.
- The curiosity to learn and seek new ideas and perspectives.
- Proactive and confident.
