We are looking for a Certification & Testing Manager to join our growing Product Development team in Newport. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and innovation.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of product certification, compliance, and testing. From preparing technical files and managing submissions to Notified Bodies, through to developing and maintaining a library of test reports, your work will be essential in getting products to market quickly and to the required standards. You will also be instrumental in operating our new R&D laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping processes, driving compliance, and supporting innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product certification and compliance, ensuring certificates are obtained within agreed timelines.
- Prepare technical files, labels, risk assessments, and user documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, test houses, and Notified Bodies to secure required certifications.
- Monitor and maintain certificate and test report libraries.
- Support the setup and accreditation of a new in-house R&D laboratory, including cost analysis, equipment sourcing, and process development.
- Perform or oversee material testing and maintain accurate records.

- Proven experience in PPE product certification, PPE regulation, and material testing.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong relationship management skills with suppliers and external partners.
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude – with the ability to go the extra mile.
