Technical Support Engineer Our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their Technical & Quality team, providing expert technical guidance and support across a product portfolio. This role would suit someone with a strong technical understanding of LED lighting, luminaires and associated electrical systems, who enjoys solving technical problems and delivering excellent customer service. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will need to have/be: * Demonstrate strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Take a proactive, customer-focused and solution-oriented approach to technical support. * Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of organisation and accuracy. * Work confidently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Have a strong technical understanding of LED lighting products, luminaires, lighting controls and associated electrical systems. * Have basic knowledge or experience within the lighting industry. * Have previous experience in a Technical Support Engineer or similar technical support role, ideally within lighting, electrical, manufacturing or construction. * Have electrical qualifications or practical electrical installation experience an have knowledge of lighting controls and emergency lighting systems (desirable). Details: * Salary: Up to £33, 000 * Working Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday * Location: Tamworth (on site) * Duration: Permanent As a Technical Support Engineer, you will: * Provide technical support across luminaires, lighting controls, emergency lighting and associated products. * Respond to technical enquiries by telephone, email, online platforms and site visits where required. * Diagnose and resolve product, installation, commissioning and performance-related issues. * Guide customers through troubleshooting processes to achieve effective and timely resolutions. * Provide technical advice and support to internal sales teams and external customers. * Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate lighting solutions. * Support customers with product selection, technical specifications, compliance and application guidance. * Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and installation documentation. * Assist with product application, installation, commissioning and performance queries. * Create, review and maintain technical literature including datasheets, installation instructions, technical bulletins and product guides. * Work closely with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate technical issues and identify root causes. * Maintain accurate records of customer enquiries, investigations and resolutions. * Analyse recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to product quality and customer experience. * Support the development and maintenance of technical product information and databases. * Share technical knowledge and best practice across the wider business. * Maintain awareness of relevant lighting industry standards, regulations and emerging technologies.
