Our Tamworth based client is looking for an experienced Copywriter to join their in house marketing team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to become the voice behind a portfolio of well established brands. You'll be responsible for creating compelling, engaging and technically accurate content that strengthens brand awareness, supports marketing campaigns and secures coverage across trade and industry media.

This is far more than a traditional copywriting role. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to uncover stories, develop thought leadership content, launch new products and shape how the organisation communicates with customers, partners and the wider industry. As a Copywriter, you will need to have:

  • Significant experience in a copywriting, content marketing, PR or media relations role.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a portfolio demonstrating engaging, high quality content across a variety of formats.
  • Proven experience writing product focused content, technical features and thought leadership articles.
  • The ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand tone of voice.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Experience developing relationships with trade publications, journalists or magazine editors.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to identify compelling stories from across the business.
  • The ability to contribute strategically to content and communications planning.

Details:

  • Salary: £35,000 to £38,000
  • Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Tamworth (full time on site)

The Role:

  • Create engaging copy for trade publications, websites, marketing campaigns and digital channels.
  • Write thought leadership articles, technical features, product launch content, case studies, company news and award submissions.
  • Ensure all content is engaging, accurate and aligned with the company's tone of voice.
  • Research and uncover newsworthy stories from across the business.
  • Produce compelling copy that enhances brand visibility and reputation.
  • Support PR campaigns by creating media pitches, press releases and editorial content.
  • Build relationships with journalists, editors and industry publications to maximise content opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather technical information and transform it into engaging customer focused content.
  • Proofread and edit copy for websites, brochures, catalogues and marketing materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to increase brand exposure.
  • Contribute ideas for content campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Ensure all external communications reflect the company's brand values and messaging.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and identify new opportunities for engaging content.
