Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their growing Water team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to play a key role in the delivery of civil engineering design solutions across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality design deliverables, providing technical expertise throughout project lifecycles, and supporting the development of junior team members. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary project teams, the Senior Civil Design Engineer will ensure designs are safe, compliant, efficient, and aligned with industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce civil engineering design deliverables that meet all safety, quality, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify practical and cost-effective design solutions through project scope reviews and site visits, communicating recommendations effectively to clients and project teams.
- Support, mentor, and develop CAD technicians, graduate engineers, and junior design staff.
- Prepare design risk assessments, technical reports, calculations, and specifications.
- Deliver designs in accordance with relevant industry regulations, professional standards, and water company specifications.
- Ensure design changes are effectively managed, implemented, and accurately recorded throughout project lifecycles.
