Our Reading based client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager on an 18 month contract to lead and develop a high performing finance team. In this role, you will manage the provision and integrity of financial information, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with governance frameworks. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, coach and develop your team, and play a key role in delivering the organisation's financial objectives. This hybrid role offers a mix of office and remote working, ideal for a proactive leader ready to make an impact.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will have/be:
- Manage provision of financial information on a timely basis.
- Ensure analysis and interpretation of financial information is provided by team as required.
- Establishing, monitoring and reporting of compliance with financial processes.
- Ensuring integrity of financial information provided by team.
- Develop and maintain effective senior stakeholder relationships.
- Training and development of Finance Manager and Finance Analysts.
- Coordination and planning of team deliverables.
- Leading by example to create a high performing team.

Role of Senior Finance Manager:
- Manage and deliver all assigned financial activities, ensuring objectives for time, cost, and quality are met.
- Develop and implement functional strategy, driving achievement of business objectives.
- Line manage and task manage team members in line with company policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to the team.
- Ensure robust internal financial controls and governance frameworks are implemented and adhered to.
- Identify, enable, and implement process improvements and innovative initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of CFO policies and procedures as required.
- Maintain and promote high standards in environmental, safety, health, security, and quality practices.
- Act as a mid-level leader, demonstrating strong leadership accountability and fostering teamwork.
