We are recruiting for a Finance Specialist to join our Tamworth based client. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will be to support the UK Finance team by managing Accounts Receivable and Payable, processing sales and purchase invoices, handling tax accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and collaborating with other departments.
As a Finance Specialist, you will need to have/be:
- Self-motivated and proactive work approach

- Excellent knowledge in accounting and administration
- Accounting related qualification or degree
- SAP experience (Not essential)
- Excellent business acumen and strong numeric skills
- Good skills in communication and coordination, internally and externally
- Ability to work in cross functional and international teams as well as to convince and guide others
Details:
- Salary: up to £35,000 + £1,610 lunch allowance (in addition to basic salary)
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 3.30pm
- Location: Tamworth

Role of Finance Specialist:
- Producing monthly and weekly reports to the Financial Controller
- Strengthening accuracy and qualities of reports and information in Finance team
- Completing month end procedure in deadline and identify the risks area to improve if it is necessary.
- Providing the evidence to the auditors' request for quarter end and year end.
- Assist the financial controller to comply with the compliance externally and internally
- Be able to produce the internal procedure and guideline in the responsible area
- Assist the financial controller to identify, improve risk areas in the internal control.
- Understand the Corporate Governance and Stakeholders and demonstrate it in the day-to-day tasks.
- Understand the Foreign currency risks and demonstrate it if it requires.
- Be proactive on the day-to-day task in the team.
- To review the process of Sales and purchases invoices (Posting, filing and reconciliation)
- Preparing the audit file for the auditors quarterly and annually
- Liaison with local vendors and the customers
- Assisting Month End procedures
- Assisting to plan and monitor the budget management
- Monitoring AR/AP ledger control
- Preparing the report for monitoring the costs.
- Managing the payments run on weekly, monthly for approval.
- Bank and cash book reconciliation
- Preparing VAT return and submit
- Assist to prepare the monthly reporting pack - Financial statement, Budget performance etc.
- Assist to prepare the Corporation tax & Deferred taxation computation
- Fixed asset registration - booking, reconciling and monitoring the systems
- Liaised with external stakeholder if it is required.
