We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mid‑Market Underwriter to join our clients Leeds office and play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across our regional commercial portfolio. As part of one of the UK’s most respected insurance brands, you’ll be a key technical and trading authority within the team, shaping broker relationships and influencing underwriting strategy across the region.
In this senior position, you’ll take ownership of a complex and diverse mid‑market book, applying advanced technical expertise and strong commercial judgement to deliver sustainable, profitable results. You’ll act as a trusted partner to brokers, a mentor to developing underwriters, and a strategic contributor to the wider regional plan. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the underwriting of mid‑market commercial risks, including complex or non‑standard cases

- Providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to junior and mid‑level underwriters
