Job Purpose
To build and maintain effective broker relationships by offering a high level of customer service, trading and delivering renewals within SLAs and in accordance with company strategy. Work closely and effectively with your team and team manager, to create and develop the Manchester Centre.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, trade and invite renewals for all products within underwriting appetite and strategy adhering to the agreed service levels.
- Action any renewal queries, MTAs and cancellations for your brokers and clients.
- Work closely and effectively with the team to ensure that all work is completed within SLAs and maintain strong broker relationships by offering a high level of customer service.
- Large case management for renewals over £5,000 and above.
- Act as a referral point for Underwriting Assistants within the team, supporting development and training where appropriate.
- Work within your Underwriting License, using the guide and collaborating with senior colleagues for underwriting decisions.
- Ensure trading entities deliver customer outcomes in a compliant manner in accordance with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
Skills and Experience
- Essential: 3/4 years Underwriting experience (commercial property and casualty).
- Desirable: Cert CII or ACII qualifications.
- Essential: Strong commercial underwriting skills; Self-motivation; Good relationship building and organisational skills; Strong teamworking skills; Ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.
