As Cinema Sales Manager for Profoto Cinema, you are responsible for driving sales and market development of Profoto’s cinema products within your territory. The role is UK-based (South East, London area), with proximity to Pinewood Studios considered a strong advantage. In addition to the UK market, the role also includes defined EMEA responsibilities, covering selected key cinema dealers, rental partners and commercial opportunities outside the UK. As of today, this includes active and priority markets such as the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary, with scope evolving over time based on business needs.
You play a key role in building long‑term partnerships with cinema rentals and dealers, while actively developing a strong sales pipeline through close relationships with key decision makers such as Gaffers and Directors of Photography. The role suits someone who is results‑oriented, commercially minded and comfortable operating independently in the field. You are expected to take initiative, drive your own activities and consistently follow through, even in a demanding and fast‑paced environment. You will spend the majority of your time on the road, working closely with customers, rentals and production teams to ensure Profoto remains a preferred lighting brand for cinema productions.
What we are looking for
In this role, you are accountable for both short‑term sales delivery and long‑term market development within the cinema segment, across the UK and selected EMEA markets. You work strategically with key rentals and dealers, while maintaining a strong operational focus on pipeline management, forecasting and execution. You build and maintain close relationships with Gaffers, DPs and rental decision makers, enabling you to identify upcoming productions early and translate opportunities into concrete business. The role requires strong drive, resilience and reliability, as well as the ability to solve problems and adapt your approach as productions, priorities and timelines change.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with key cinema dealers and rental houses in the UK and selected EMEA markets to deliver on agreed sales forecasts.
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline of upcoming cinema productions through close collaboration with rentals, Gaffers and DPs.
- Strategically developing the territory to maximise sales opportunities through strong commercial thinking and market insight.
- Driving local activities with rental partners, including events, product demonstrations and training sessions, to ensure Profoto is consistently top of mind.
- Spending five days per week in the field, visiting key rentals, dealers and production sets.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date sales pipelines and visit reports, requiring clear structure, reliability and strong written communication.
In addition, you are responsible for partner‑facing initiatives, including:
- Facilitating regular product training for dealer and rental sales teams, covering both new and existing products.
- Implementing and maintaining a rolling 12‑month Key Account Management (KAM) plan, aligning Profoto’s priorities with those of key partners.
Requirements
To succeed in the role, we believe you bring:
- Extensive existing relationships with Gaffers, DPs and cinema rental houses, along with a proven track record in hardware sales, preferably within motion picture, television or broadcast markets.
- Strong commercial acumen and a data‑driven approach to managing pipelines, forecasting and decision‑making.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as part of your daily work.
- The role requires extensive travel, primarily across the UK, with additional travel within selected EMEA markets as required by defined key accounts and commercial opportunities.
Your profile
We are looking for a commercially driven and customer‑focused sales professional with deep knowledge of the motion picture industry. You are confident in your sales ability and skilled in negotiation, with a proven track record of closing deals and building long‑term, high‑value relationships. You are self‑motivated, results‑oriented and take initiative in your work. You follow through on commitments, handle setbacks with resilience and maintain momentum over time. You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and approach challenges with a structured, problem‑solving mindset.
