As an Assistant Coach you’ll be at the heart of our coaching programmes, helping to deliver fun, engaging, and high-quality sessions for children aged 2-14, leading inspiring sports provision at schools, and creating memorable days at our half term camps. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive and supportive environment where young children can learn, grow, and enjoy sport.

Covering Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, and Bristol, our fast-growing team delivers action-packed, fun-filled football sessions to over 400 children aged 2-14 every week! Plus, we bring top-quality sports provision to 1,500+ children in schools across the region.

We’re all about developing our coaches and giving them exciting opportunities to grow, learn, and make a real impact. With us, you will be enrolled into a coach development programme alongside 6 CPD’s per year.

What You’ll Receive:

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivering of structured, age-appropriate football sessions for children aged 2-14, helping players to develop key technical, tactical, and teamwork skills, using our curriculum and coaching framework.
  • Working with school staff and stakeholders to provide quality sports provision and enrichment following a scheme of works.
  • Help to create a fun and inclusive environment that builds confidence and passion for sport.
  • Motivating and inspiring young children to reach their full potential.
  • Show the ability to support the Lead Coach in safely manage disruptive behavioural personalities and dis-regulated behaviour patterns within sessions.
  • Providing feedback and encouragement to children and staff.
  • Ensure sessions are delivered safely and align with the company’s safeguarding policies.
  • Represent the organisation positively and contribute to its growth and reputation in the community.

The Essentials:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience coaching children in a football or sports environment.
  • A minimum of Introduction in Coaching Football (old FA Level 1) or equivalent in another sport.
  • Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, and engaging personality with great communication skills.
  • Passion for developing young players and making sport enjoyable for all.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Basic DBS certificate.

The Desirables:

  • UEFA C Licence or above / Level 2 qualification in another sport (or working towards).
  • Access to transport to and from places of work.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Coach within a similar football or sports setting.
