We are currently recruiting for a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join a well-established UK distribution company based in Swindon. This is a great opportunity to become part of a respected business known for its operational excellence and commitment to supporting its workforce. You will be an essential part of the warehouse team, supporting daily operations including goods-in, stock movement, order picking, and loading/unloading using a counterbalance forklift. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to safely move and handle goods
- Load and unload deliveries accurately and efficiently
- Pick and prepare customer orders with attention to accuracy and quality
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory records
- Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
Training & Working Hours
- Full training will be provided and conducted between 07:30 and 16:30 for the first 1 to 2 weeks
- After training, standard working hours will be 10:30 to 19:30, Monday to Friday
- Shift times may change depending on business needs, and we appreciate your flexibility in this regard
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Good communication skills and a team oriented attitude
