About The Client
We're looking for a reliable Relief Security Officer to support sites across West Yorkshire (Predominantly sites in Leeds and Bradford). Working across different locations, you'll step in where needed to help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and property. The role is varied, hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys working in different settings. You'll handle routine security duties, provide a visible presence on site, respond to incidents when required and follow company procedures to keep operations running smoothly. In return, you'll join a supportive team and play an important part in helping each site operate safely and confidently every day.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including conducting regular patrols.
- Conducting searches.
- Locking and Unlocking of site.
- Handle access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing visitor passes.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and potential threats.
- Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or violations of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.
- Follow production rota of certain production lines are required to be switched on in mornings.
- Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks, and any relevant information.
- Collaborate with the wider security team and other departments to uphold a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
- A valid front-line SIA Licence.
- Previous experience in a similar security role is desired but not essential; training will be provided.
- A full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
- A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.
- A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
