ProFlex offers physical and occupational therapy as well as athletic training services. We offer Certified Hand therapy services, Pelvic Floor treatment, Lymphedema management, Blood Flow restriction, Dry Needling, and a host of other specialty services. ProFlex Physical Therapy has immediate openings for qualified Physical Therapist Assistants. Our therapists enjoy a variety of orthopedic and post-surgical patients from multiple referral sources in the communities we serve.
We are looking for Physical Therapist Assistants that have:
- A passion for physical therapy and helping people
- A desire to learn, grow and share your knowledge
- A strong interest in manual therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Carry out individual physical therapy treatment plans that have been developed by a physical therapist.
- Apply modalities to patients in accordance with established procedures and Plan of Care.
- Train patients in exercise, ambulation, activities of daily living, use of adaptive equipment and positioning aids.
- Document patient/client progress by adding to and maintaining ongoing records such as progress notes.
- Refer patients to other services when appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Notify supervising therapists when a patient needs evaluation in accordance with the State practice laws.
- Participate in in-services to broaden knowledge of physical therapy and other related topics.
- Participate in educational programs that meet the States CEU requirements and licensure.
- Provide in-services on continuing education courses to other staff members.
- Participate in special outpatient programs.
Certification/License:
- Current State of Maryland or Virginia Physical Therapy Assistant license.(Required)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
