Job Description:
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will maintain Profleet Commercials’ external vehicle fleet of HGVs and LGVs, diagnosing, repairing and ensuring vehicles and trailers meet required standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers to the highest standard in line with DVSA requirements
- Vehicle and trailer inspections
- Fault finding and repairs
- Brake testing
- Use of diagnostic equipment
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Qualification in City and Guilds HGV Part 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HGV mechanic
- Large Goods Vehicle experience
- Health & Safety awareness
- Excellent time‑keeping skills
Preferable:
- HGV License – Class 1 or 2
- IRTEC Registered
