We're delighted to be recruiting a reliable and experienced Yard Operative to join an established and highly respected supplier within the civil engineering and construction sector. As a Yard Operative you can expect a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced yard environment where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring customers receive excellent service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.
Salary competitive depending on experience + excellent benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays and enrolment into the company Employee Ownership Scheme.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Loading customer vans and cars safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading supplier deliveries
- Picking, checking and preparing customer orders
- Organising, storing and checking stock
- Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment
- Supporting the wider team with general yard duties
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
- Have good attention to detail
- Be customer focused and approachable
- Be willing to learn and develop new skills
- Be physically fit and comfortable with lifting/moving stock
- Thrive in a busy outdoor working environment
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
Hours: 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
