Salary: Β£27K - 40 hours a week
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a pivotal part in keeping daily operations running smoothly. Working under an experienced Warehouse Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving Goods: unloading deliveries, checking for damage or missing items, and signing delivery notes.
- Storing Stock: labelling items, moving goods to designated storage areas, and ensuring safe, organised storage.
- Picking & Packing: accurately selecting items for orders, packing securely, and preparing goods for dispatch - this may involve heavy lifting and extended periods of standing.
- Dispatching Orders: loading goods onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure and ready for timely delivery.
- Stock Control: updating records, completing paperwork, and helping with regular stock checks.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
The ideal Warehouse Operative will need the following:
- Some previous warehouse experience.
- Excellent attention to detail along with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and clear communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical capability to move goods safely.
