A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Operative to take responsibility for Returns and Goods-In within a busy warehouse operation based in Alton. This Warehouse based role is available immediately on a temp-to-perm basis, although candidates seeking a permanent opportunity from the outset will also be considered.

Salary: £12.71ph + pension + 20 days holiday + bank holidays + free on-site parking.

Working as part of a supportive warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring stock is processed accurately, goods are handled efficiently, and warehouse operations continue to run smoothly.

Key responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative include:

  • Booking goods in using a bespoke computer system and handheld scanners
  • Checking incoming and returned goods for damage or stock discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate stock traceability using a Warehouse Management System
  • Allocating and storing stock in the correct warehouse locations
  • Supporting efficient warehouse organisation and storage optimisation
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Liaising with couriers to coordinate deliveries and dispatches
  • Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping

The ideal Warehouse Operative will need:

  • Previous experience of dealing with returns and goods-in
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using handheld scanners
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
  • A safe and responsible approach to warehouse operations and manual handling
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required

Due to location, own transport is essential - free on-site parking available.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual lifting of up to 30kg
  • Bending, lifting, and moving stock throughout the day
  • Working on your feet within a busy warehouse environment

This role would suit a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Operative or Stores Person or Returns & Goods-In Operative who is looking to secure a long-term position within a growing warehouse operation.

Hours: 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday.
