Entertainment & Culture-First Creative Agency

Salary: £85,000 + Benefits

We’re recruiting for a culture-led creative agency whose work sits at the intersection of fandom, entertainment, and brand purpose. Their projects go beyond campaigns — they create platforms, partnerships, and cultural moments that genuinely resonate with audiences.

This is a Strategy Director role for someone who thrives on ownership, independence, and variety. You’ll be just as comfortable building a rigorous brand or partnership strategy as you are diving into the worlds of fandom, subculture, and digital communities to uncover what matters.

If you’re the type of strategist who rolls up your sleeves and makes things happen — not waiting on a team, but leading from the front — this could be the role for you.

THE ROLE

Brand & Social Strategy

  • Lead the creation of brand and social-first strategies across mainstream and emerging platforms (TikTok, IG, YouTube, Discord, Reddit and beyond).
  • Own projects end-to-end: from insight-driven frameworks to cultural hooks, narrative direction, content pillars, and creator activations.
  • Translate audience and fan behaviours into actionable strategies that feel credible, timely, and impactful.

Partnerships & Cultural IP

  • Design strategic frameworks that connect entertainment and cultural IP (film, music, gaming, sport) with lifestyle and consumer brands.
  • Use both data-led evaluation and cultural instinct to identify credible opportunities and high-value alignments.
  • Shape activation strategies across multiple channels: social, experiential, digital, and physical touchpoints.

Cultural Insight & Direction

  • Act as the cultural radar for the agency and its clients — spotting signals early, mapping fandom behaviours, and shaping them into opportunities.
  • Drive thinking that fuses rigorous strategy with creative possibility, inspiring internal teams and clients alike.
  • Confidently present strategies and workshops, turning complex cultural narratives into clear, compelling stories.

YOU

  • 7+ years of experience in brand, creative, or cultural strategy, ideally with exposure to entertainment, social, and partnerships.
  • An independent doer: you’re hands-on, self-sufficient, and able to lead projects without relying on a team of strategists.
  • Deep cultural curiosity: you don’t just observe fandoms, you engage with them — whether in gaming, music, sport, film, or online subcultures.
  • Skilled in using both data-led evaluation and unconventional insight methods (digital ethnography, cultural listening, platform dives).
  • Strong track record of delivering strategies that connect brands with culture and audiences in meaningful ways.
  • A sharp thinker and storyteller — able to distill complex cultural landscapes into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Confident presenting at senior levels, while collaborative with creative and client teams.

If you’re a strategist who can independently shape strategy across brand, fandom, and culture — and thrive in a role where variety and ownership are the norm — apply now.
