We are looking for a dynamic Event Manager to work for a leading live events agency – specialising in large UK and international festivals, music, sports and entertainment events. We are looking for a highly organized, driven, and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events.
You will plan, budget, build and operate events. As Event Manager you will be the main point of contact for the client/event and you will have complete commercial ownership of the project from start to finish. You will work closely with all parts of the business to deliver each event on time, on budget and meet profit targets and exceed the client’s expectations.
The Role
- To coordinate and work with all departments to plan all aspects of an event.
- Contribution to the pitch process alongside the budget planner to ensure every event is costed up accurately.
- Managing the whole of the Project Team (stock, staffing, finance, operations etc.) to ensure the project is delivered on budget, on time.
- Being the main point of contact for the client alongside dedicated Account Manager.
- Attending meetings with clients and suppliers.
- Complete commercial ownership of the event – managing budgets, ensuring profit targets are achieved (alongside other internal teams – finance, logistics, staffing).
- Develop event-specific strategies to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and operational policies.
- Coordinate and oversee all site operations (including but not limited to) event logistics, security, staffing management, cash operations, stock management, event production, & bar/food services.
- Managing all subcontractors.
- To troubleshoot and problem solve and make clear and definitive decisions.
The Person
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in event project management ideally working on events of 5k+ attendees.
- Ideally experience in bars/hospitality/greenfield (festival) environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for events and creating memorable experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
