We are currently looking for a Digital Merchandiser to join the Digital Trading team at one of the UK’s best-known food and drink ecommerce brands! Your role will be to drive online sales growth by delivering a seamless onsite experience for customers; execute digital merchandising strategies for all customer journeys. And use data to understand the digital customer and drive key onsite metrics. This is a hybrid role – 3 days onsite – Reading (Berkshire) HQ.
The Role:
- Oversee the categorisation and placement of products and promotions online to ensure easy navigation and product discovery for customers.
- Report on the performance of products and pages, feedback actionable insights and make recommendations for optimisation & improvement to drive CVR rate onsite.
- Analysing key product and category trends from internal and external search data and implementing trading opportunities.
- Monitoring search/category/landing page CTRs and CVRs and improving performance through A/B testing, page personalisation, ranking strategies and AI integration.
- Championing customer journeys and experience through the optimisation of promotional campaigns/pages online, relevance and usability of search and navigability of product range.
- Ensuring product details are captured, displayed and optimised effectively for customers, SEO and performance marketing.
- Ensuring all products are accurately listed and well represented.
- Brief online creative and manage ad-hoc changes to the website.
The Person:
- Ideally at least 2-3 years in a Digital Merchandising role – FMCG industry experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the online customer journey and consumer behaviour.
- Demonstrable ability to make data-led decisions.
- An understanding of how merchandising relates to SEO and performance marketing.
- Experienced Microsoft Office user, especially Excel.
- Experience with analytics tools Eg: Adobe, PowerBI or Google Analytics.
- Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and relationship building across various teams.
