Profile is looking for an intelligent, commercially aware, and ambitious writer to join our fast-growing owned content team as either a Junior Content Executive or Content Executive. This is a unique opportunity for a talented copywriter to work at the forefront of B2B thought leadership — crafting sophisticated long- and short-form content for senior executives and firms across financial services, alongside wider briefs spanning technology, professional services, healthcare, sustainability, and other high-growth sectors.
The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the public voice and intellectual positioning of senior business leaders. You will be primarily responsible for producing high-quality, insight-led thought leadership content — including opinion-led newsletters, incisive industry snapshots, whitepapers, website content, and curated LinkedIn schedules — that helps our clients build credibility, influence industry conversations, and strengthen their market position across owned channels.
At Profile, we work directly with founders, CEOs, investors, consultants, and senior executives to develop distinctive perspectives that cut through increasingly crowded markets. This means the role requires someone who is naturally curious about business, enjoys following news and industry developments, and can translate complex ideas into compelling, commercially relevant narratives.
The role comes at an exciting stage in the agency's growth. As part of a high-performance, founder-led environment, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take genuine ownership over client content streams, contribute strategically to campaigns, and develop rapidly within one of the globe's leading specialist thought leadership agencies.
Core role responsibilities:- Draft long-form, owned thought leadership content for Profile's executive and corporate clients, particularly across financial services and broader B2B sectors.
- Draft short-form owned thought leadership content for our clients' LinkedIn profiles, curating a monthly content cycle that resonates with each unique key audience.
- Independently manage the LinkedIn profiles of our financial services clients, overseeing performance, executing KPIs, and beyond.
- Monitor the news cycle, industry trends, and emerging market conversations to identify timely hooks and opportunities for client commentary.
- Conduct research across sectors including finance, technology, private markets, regulation, sustainability, and wider business trends.
- Work directly with clients to capture their insights, expertise, and commercial perspectives through interviews, calls, and briefing sessions.
- Develop and maintain distinctive tone-of-voice frameworks for individual executives and brands.
- Ensure all content is strategically aligned with wider positioning, PR, and audience engagement objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Profile's senior leadership, client management, PR, social media, and multimedia teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Manage multiple client content streams simultaneously while maintaining consistently high editorial standards.
- Analyse content performance and audience engagement, contributing ideas to improve strategic impact over time.
- Support wider creative and strategic brainstorming across client accounts and internal agency initiatives.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of Profile's thought leadership methodologies, editorial standards, and creative positioning.
- 1–3 years of copywriting, editorial, journalism, or thought leadership experience (agency or in-house experience preferred).
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and intellectually credible long-form content.
- A strong interest in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, technology, and the wider B2B landscape.
- The ability to quickly understand complex subjects and transform them into compelling narratives for senior business audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how thought leadership supports reputation, influence, and brand positioning.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Confidence interacting directly with senior executives and clients.
- A naturally curious, adaptable, and ambitious mindset.
- A proactive approach to identifying ideas, trends, and strategic opportunities.
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering polished, accurate work.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute positively to a growing team culture.
- A 2:1 bachelor's degree or above.
- Experience writing B2B or financial services content.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn thought leadership and executive profiling.
- Understanding of PR and positioning strategy.
- Experience working within an agency environment.
- Competitive salary with strong progression opportunities in a rapidly growing, founder-led agency.
- The chance to work directly with high-profile executives, founders, and businesses across multiple sectors.
- Significant ownership and autonomy over client content streams.
- A collaborative, ambitious, and entrepreneurial team culture.
- Hybrid working model (3 days in our Old Street office, 2 days remote).
- 24 days annual leave, plus an additional day off for your birthday.
- £2,000 annual personal development and training budget.
- Two paid volunteering days per year for causes meaningful to you.
- A weekly lunch allowance.
- Work from anywhere in the world for one week per year.
- Regular team socials, networking opportunities, and industry events.
- The opportunity to develop quickly within a specialist agency operating at the forefront of modern thought leadership and executive communications.
