Company: Profile — Thought Leadership PR Agency

Location: Old Street, London (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH)

Salary: £35,000+ base (DOE), plus uncapped commission

Profile is a multi-award-winning PR and communications agency. We are launching Vantage, a new SaaS platform for professional services firms, and we are hiring our Founding SDR to lead outbound from day one. This is our first dedicated sales hire. There is no existing outbound function and no inherited playbook to follow. You will have the opportunity to shape how we sell, how we build pipeline, and how Vantage goes to market.

If you are an ambitious, fast-paced salesperson who would rather build something from the ground up than inherit someone else's process, this could be the role for you.

The role

You will be doing multi-channel outbound. Your job is to target our ICPs, start meaningful conversations with the right decision makers and book meetings that convert into pipeline. You will partner with the Marketing Manager day-to-day, and work closely with the CEO once meetings convert into proposals. Once a meeting is booked, the senior team takes the demo and proposal forward.

What you will do

  • Own and build outbound pipeline from day one
  • Research, identify and initiate contact with relevant individuals at target professional services firms
  • A/B test sales processes, messaging, and channels
  • Book qualified meetings with relevant decision makers, then hand over to senior team for demo/proposal
  • Help define our ideal customer profile, qualification criteria, and outbound playbook
  • Partner with Marketing to automate workflows, identifying buying intent signals, and maintain clean CRM data

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or other relevant outbound sales role
  • Persuasive, confident communicator who excels at building rapport quickly with key decision makers
  • Target-driven, with genuine hunger to hit and exceed numbers
  • Resilient – you can handle objections, hear no, and keep bringing the energy anyway
  • Ambitious self-starter, excited by the prospect of building an entire sales division and who doesn’t need a pre-written playbook to drive success
  • Organised, disciplined and methodical – you are rigorous in your approach
  • Strong experience with a variety of outbound, CRM, and sales engagement tools
  • Comfortable using AI tools to sharpen research, targeting, and outreach

Particularly beneficial (but not essential)

  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing environment
  • Experience selling SaaS, marketing, or media services into professional services firms (law, accountancy, consultancy)
  • Familiarity with PR, thought leadership, or how professional services firms market themselves
  • Experience contributing to an outbound playbook at an early-stage company
  • Passionate about building, with longer-term ambitions to grow and manage your own team

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with strong progression opportunities in a rapidly growing, founder-led agency.
  • The chance to work directly with high-profile executives, founders, and businesses across multiple sectors.
  • A collaborative, ambitious, and entrepreneurial team culture.
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in our Old Street office, 2 days remote).
  • 24 days annual leave, plus an additional day off for your birthday.
  • £2,000 annual personal development and training budget.
  • Two paid volunteering days per year for causes meaningful to you.
  • A weekly lunch allowance.
  • Work from anywhere in the world for one week per year.
  • Regular team socials, networking opportunities, and industry events.
  • The opportunity to develop quickly within a specialist agency operating at the forefront of modern thought leadership and executive communications.
