Job Description Verification Engineer \n Salary to £60k + benefits \n Hybrid role - 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) on-site in Witney, Oxfordshire, \n Company \n Pioneering safeguards for embodied-AI, this company is building the trust layer for autonomy and physical AI. Their software enables assured, trustworthy deployment of both traditional deterministic autonomy and AI or novel control methods, in any application, for the first time. They do all of this with no need for data or communications links, and they begin the journey by applying their tech to autonomous systems in the aerospace and land domains. \n The Role \n As part of a highly specialised engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, verification and certification of embedded safety-critical systems that provide assurance and runtime safety functions across autonomous platforms. The platform is being developed providing mathematically verifiable software foundations suitable for the highest levels of safety assurance. \n Safety-critical embedded software development \n Runtime assurance architectures \n Autonomous flight safety systems \n Mission assurance and control systems \n Verification and validation activities \n Certification-focused software engineering \n Safety monitoring and fail-safe architectures \n Airworthiness and autonomy assurance frameworks \n The engineering team is focused on delivering solutions that support highly regulated autonomous operations, including SORA-based operating environments and future certified autonomous aviation systems. \n Responsibilities \n Define and execute verification strategies for safety-critical software and systems. \n Support software verification activities aligned with DO-178C objectives. \n Conduct integration, system and qualification testing. \n Work closely with software engineers to ensure compliance with safety objectives. \n Must-Have Experience \n Strong background in safety-critical verification and validation. \n Understanding of advanced software verification and testing methodologies, such as automated testing, fuzz testing, Monte Carlo simulation, fault injection, or other techniques used to validate the robustness and safety of complex embedded systems. \n Experience working within regulated engineering environments. \n Understanding of software lifecycle and verification processes. \n Experience with requirements-based testing and traceability. \n Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time software. \n Automotive (ISO26262 / IEC65108). \n Aerospace, defence or autonomous systems background. \n Formal verification or static analysis experience. \n Real-time verification tooling for safety-critical projects including SIL, HIL, SIH. \n Experience supporting autonomous aircraft, UAV or UAS programmes. \n Other Stuff \n Salary to £60k \n Hybrid role - 3 days a week on site in Witney, Tues, Wed, Thurs \n Benefits include; EV Car Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, Company socials, Thursday in-office lunch on them, 25 days holiday \n NB: for non-UK Citizens; we cannot accept applications from anyone requiring sponsorship (now or in the future) for UK permanent employment status.
