About Them: This company is a multi-award winning, highly reputable digital marketing agency. They are built on hard work, creativity and laughter, and every member of their team brings an added layer of dedication, expertise and fun to their agency. They are a tight-knit team who work collaboratively across a range of digital marketing departments to deliver an integrated online marketing service to their clients.

About the Role: As Senior SEO Manager, you are a senior individual contributor within the SEO team, responsible for leading the strategy and delivery on a portfolio of client accounts. This is a hands-on role combining deep technical expertise with strong client management and a high standard of strategic thinking. You are expected to take full ownership of your accounts, set the direction, drive the activity and ensure clients see measurable progress against their goals. You work closely with the Head of SEO to develop best practice across the department and help raise the standard of work across the wider team.

What they'll need from you:

  • SEO Strategy and Delivery: Own and maintain an active, documented SEO strategy for every client in your portfolio, reviewed and updated at least monthly. Lead on technical SEO audits, keyword research, content gap analysis and competitor benchmarking across your accounts. Develop and oversee the delivery of on-page, technical and off-page recommendations, coordinating with content and outreach where required.
  • AI, LLMs and Search Evolution: Develop a strong working understanding of how AI and large language models are changing the search landscape, including their impact on organic visibility, content quality signals and user behaviour. Stay current with AI-driven features in search (including AI Overviews and generative search experiences) and understand the practical implications for client SEO strategy. Identify and apply AI tools that improve the quality or efficiency of SEO work, including research, auditing, briefing and analysis workflows.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary SEO point of contact for clients in your portfolio, building strong relationships based on trust, transparency and consistent delivery. Respond to all client communications within 4 hours during working hours and provide proactive updates before clients need to ask. Present strategy, performance and recommendations confidently to senior client stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Performance: Produce and deliver monthly performance reports on time, translating data into clear commercial insight for clients. Track performance against agreed KPIs and adjust strategy where targets are not being met. Log all time accurately on a daily basis and flag any accounts at risk of over-servicing before hours are exceeded.
  • Team Contribution: Share knowledge and best practice with the wider SEO team, contributing to internal sessions and department-wide standards. Support the onboarding of new clients where required, ensuring the client journey is followed from day one. Act as a mentor to more junior SEO team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback on their work.

Key skills you'll need:

  • Proven track record delivering SEO results in a digital agency environment.
  • Strong technical SEO skills, comfortable running audits and implementing fixes across a range of CMS platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of how AI and LLMs are affecting search and the practical implications for organic strategy.
  • Experience working with regulated industries (iGaming, finance, legal, healthcare) is advantageous.
  • Confident presenter, able to explain SEO strategy and performance clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Ahrefs or SEMrush and standard reporting tools.

What they offer in Return:

  • Fully remote working in the UK
  • Free Private Medical Health Insurance
  • Companywide Christmas shutdown - 3 additional paid days leave over the Christmas period.
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Opportunities to speak at industry events and conferences if you want to.
  • A birthday gift and the afternoon off on us.
  • Early finish on the last Friday of every month.
