About the Role: As Senior SEO Manager, you are a senior individual contributor within the SEO team, responsible for leading the strategy and delivery on a portfolio of client accounts. This is a hands-on role combining deep technical expertise with strong client management and a high standard of strategic thinking. You are expected to take full ownership of your accounts, set the direction, drive the activity and ensure clients see measurable progress against their goals. You work closely with the Head of SEO to develop best practice across the department and help raise the standard of work across the wider team.
What they’ll need from you:
- SEO Strategy and Delivery: Own and maintain an active, documented SEO strategy for every client in your portfolio, reviewed and updated at least monthly. Stay current with AI-driven features in search and understand the practical implications for client SEO strategy. Identify and apply AI tools that improve the quality or efficiency of SEO work.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary SEO point of contact for clients in your portfolio, building strong relationships based on trust, transparency and consistent delivery. Present strategy, performance and recommendations confidently to senior client stakeholders.
- Reporting and Performance: Produce and deliver monthly performance reports on time, translating data into clear commercial insight for clients. Track performance against agreed KPIs and adjust strategy where targets are not being met. Support the onboarding of new clients where required, ensuring the client journey is followed from day one.
