ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking full time Strategic Communications Specialist candidates to join our team in support of the US Navy\’s research mission. This position will provide support and services to the Office of Naval Research Global (ONR Global) personnel located in both Santiago, Chile and Arlington, VA. The Strategic Communications Specialist will assist in the preparation and release of a variety of communications products for internal and external audiences in support of ONR Global’s education and outreach efforts. Successful candidates will possess 2 years\’ relevant experience and an Associates Degree or higher in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Advertising.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain roster, organizational chart, and ‘placemat’ documents for internal and external distribution. Liaise with the N1/Human Resources and Administration team to track onboarding and off-boarding personnel. Maintain contact information and official portraits for personnel. Create and/or maintain templates for organizational products
- Draft, develop, and process for public release online products such as LinkedIn posts, blog posts, or electronic newsletter blurbs. Develop and/or maintain templates and language for electronic releases. Maintain currency on public release processes and policies governed by the CSC team.
- Draft, develop, and process for public release written products such as the annual Prospectus report and the Global Engagement Plan, to include language templates, marketing & communication documents, written products, and creation of press release policies.
- Maintain and update ONR Global briefings used for organizational overview meetings, recruitment efforts, and similar presentations. Work with Department Heads to maintain current organizational information used in such briefings.
- Maintain and update website presence as requested by ONR Global eadership and CSC team.
- Provide administration services to facilitate communications (coordinate taskings/actions, attend meetings, draft meeting notes, communicate and clarify direction and/or feedback, etc.) in support of ONR-G on and off-site meetings, events, and conferences; and provide support during the execution of these events.
- May require some international travel; may require annual travel to the United States

Requirements
What you will bring:
- Experience & proficiency with commercial software, to include Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams & Excel)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers that include senior military, foreign governments and international partners
- Must have or be willing and able to apply for and receive appropriate background check
Your education and experience:
- Associates Degree or higher in Public Relations, Communication or Advertising. 5+ years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement.
- 2+ years of experience in relevant field
