ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We’re looking for a Multimedia Specialist to support the RAF Mildenhall Protestant Parish by coordinating the technical side of worship services. In this role, you’ll manage audio, video, and visual media to help create a smooth, engaging worship experience. You’ll work closely with the Protestant Chaplain and Music Director to bring services to life through professional, well-organized multimedia support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Multimedia Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing all audio and visual needs for worship services, rehearsals, and special events. This includes setting up and operating multimedia equipment, making sure everything is working properly, and handling any troubleshooting that may arise. You’ll arrive about two hours before each service to get everything set up and stay afterward to take care of equipment clean-up.

Part of your role includes maintaining the chapel’s multimedia systems and coordinating with staff to order new equipment or supplies when needed. Requests for new gear should be submitted in writing to the Account Manager with plenty of lead time—usually about 60 days in advance.

You’ll also lead the recruitment, training, and development of A/V volunteers, providing quarterly training sessions that are scheduled alongside chapel team meetings and approved by the Wing Chaplain. Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with the Protestant Chaplain to align technical needs with the flow of each service.

Sometimes you may need to manually load songs or retrieve lyrics using external storage (like a USB drive or DVD), especially in special circumstances. You’ll also add pre-service videos and announcement slides, typically provided by the Chaplain or their representative.

Recording is another important part of this job. Each weekly sermon will need to be captured and saved digitally, either to a computer or flash drive, and—when directed—uploaded to the Protestant Parish’s social media platforms. You’ll also help maintain those social media sites (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Podcasts), always following chapel policies and with pre-approval from the Chaplain team.

Whether it’s a regular Sunday service, a special holiday event, or a program like Vacation Bible School, you’ll ensure the technical side runs smoothly and enhances the overall worship experience.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience coordinating multimedia for worship services. If you bring strong skills in related A/V areas, other professional experience may be considered in place of this requirement. Experience working in a military chapel setting is a big plus.

You’ll need to be comfortable with a range of multimedia and worship service software, including tools like ProPresenter, Planning Center, iTunes, and Final Cut Pro X, as well as be familiar with the current soundboard setup used in the chapel. Solid experience with both pre- and post-production video editing and filming is also important for this role.

Technically, you should feel at home operating professional audio equipment such as digital mixers, amplifiers, system processors, wireless mics, Aviom personal monitor systems, and media playback devices. On the visual side, experience with video projectors, presentation software, and large-screen displays is key. While it’s not a must-have, familiarity with recording and reproducing video will definitely come in handy.

We offer great opportunities for personal and professional development in an international company, with a focus on supporting our customers to excel in their strategic goals. The role comes with a competitive salary package, paid time off, Federal holidays, and professional development. You will be a part of a dedicated group of colleagues who value teamwork and collaboration whose focus is to empower our customers.
