The Impact You’ll Make: The PTO is looking for a Marketing Director to lead and deliver its marketing strategy across the PTO/Triathlon World Tour. This is a senior role with both strategic ownership and close involvement in execution. You will set direction, shape campaigns, and work closely with teams across event marketing, performance, and social to drive participation and revenue across their global race calendar. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, with the scope to influence how the sport connects with both athletes and fans on a global stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver the marketing strategy for the PTO/Triathlon World Tour, aligned to commercial objectives and global growth ambitions.
- Lead the planning and execution of campaigns to drive participation, ticket sales, and revenue.
- Build a compelling and differentiated brand that resonates with athletes, fans, partners, and host cities.
- Oversee performance marketing activity across digital channels, including paid social and search.
- Manage budgets, agency relationships, and performance tracking to ensure effective delivery.
- Develop and lead an email marketing and CRM strategy to support audience growth and retention.
- Guide the social team to create engaging, platform‑specific content across Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels.

- Hands‑on experience across performance marketing channels, including paid social, digital acquisition, and conversion‑focused campaigns.
- Experience across email marketing and customer engagement strategies.
- Commercially minded, with a clear focus on driving participation, revenue, and ROI.
- Comfortable managing budgets and making data‑driven decisions to optimise performance.
- Experience in sport, live events, endurance sports, or triathlon is desirable but not essential.
