We’re now looking for a highly organised and driven junior communications executive to join our day-to-day Communications and Marketing effort. At the PTO, you’ll contribute to bold, industry-defining projects, learning through experimentation and helping to transform the future of triathlon. This is your opportunity to build something truly meaningful and be a part of an exciting journey. This role reports directly to our Communications Director.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Race Event Communications Support: You’ll be working on the local media and communications plans for each of the T100 Triathlon World Tour races, helping support the local organising teams working with the PTO to drive earned media coverage for the events around key marketing milestones, designed to build the profile of the events and inspire participation at them from athletes of all abilities.
- Editorial Output: Writing press releases, race reports, LinkedIn posts and SEO blogs. As well as compiling Q&As for media briefings and issues preparedness. Support the communications function, maintaining PTO content style guides and overseeing content quality. Establish strong editorial standards while ensuring content strategy aligns with business and marketing objectives.
- Celebrity & Influencer Recruitment & Management: Inviting & managing relevant celebrities and influencers at key T100 weekends across our 2026 calendar. Then working closely with each of them to amplify their involvement through our different communications channels.
Who We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with a sports organisation’s communications function preferred.
- A native English speaker with exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills. Confident in adapting tone of voice, simplifying complex ideas, and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- A self-starter who thrives in performance-driven environments, meets tight deadlines, and embraces feedback.
- Already being knowledgeable about triathlon and broader endurance sports an advantage.
