The PTO is now looking for an ambitious and dynamic Events Marketing Manager. This pivotal role is responsible for leading our event marketing efforts with a strong focus on driving age group sales for the mass participation element of our high‑profile global events. You will be instrumental in leveraging key marketing channels - including CRM, paid social and search, community outreach, grassroots marketing, and content to drive massive engagement and significant revenue growth within our target demographics. Your role will play a pivotal part in shaping our brand and continuing to boost the profile of the PTO worldwide. You should be comfortable with day‑to‑day marketing activities, as well as long‑term strategy, thriving in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and changing needs. The role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager and will require work from our office in London Canary Wharf and also may include international travel to some T100 events.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Drive the demand, growth and engagement for PTO Events with a primary focus on age group registration, merchandise and spectator attendance.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to age group sales and mass participation.
  • Lead and oversee the end‑to‑end event registration process, from planning to execution and follow‑up. Ensure the registration system and user flows are user‑friendly, efficient, and meet the needs of event participants.
  • Plan, implement, and optimize paid social media and search advertising campaigns in coordination with external marketing agencies to reach target audiences (Two Circles).
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with sponsors, travel partners, regional and national governing bodies, plus Local Organising Committees (LOCs) and vendors to maximize event exposure, reach and success.
  • Develop engaging and persuasive event marketing content, including promotional materials, press releases, email campaigns, organic social media, paid social & search, as well as website updates.
  • Lead on relationships with third‑party marketing channels and partners – e.g., influencers, athletes, event listing websites, travel partners and in‑region experts.
  • Create and execute retention strategies to keep event participants and spectators engaged year‑round.
  • Engage with and create compelling narratives for our age group athletes via best‑in‑class participant communication on email and social media.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, track key performance indicators, and adjust strategies as needed for continuous improvements.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Manager or similar role, preferably within sports events marketing, ticketing, or a high‑growth business.
  • Experience of relationship building and management, ensuring effective use of digital community outreach.
  • Strong knowledge of event marketing strategies and tactics, including digital marketing, sports marketing content creation, and social media advertising.
  • Strong understanding of content management systems and social media tools / platforms.
  • Ability to think strategically and evaluate data driven performance based on predetermined KPIs.
  • Experience working with Email Service Platforms such as Dot Digital, MailChimp, a plus. Some design experience using Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of basic HTML and Content Management Systems such as WordPress is preferred.
