We’re now looking for a commercially minded and highly collaborative FP&A Analyst to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in connecting our Events Operations with Finance. This person will help us track performance, model future scenarios, and turn data into actionable insights that support decision‑making across our global events calendar. You’ll act as the bridge between our event delivery teams and the finance function – supporting budgeting, forecasting, post‑event analysis, and business case modelling. Your work will directly inform how we plan, deliver, and grow our event portfolio. This role reports directly to our Finance Manager, based at our London HQ.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Act as the primary finance partner, collaborating across teams to provide clarity, structure, and support on all financial matters, driving strategic decision‑making and performance. Support event planning with budget ownership, scenario modelling, and cash flow visibility. Attend regular planning and debrief sessions with Ops to understand financial impact of decisions and help shape resourcing.
  • Budget & Rolling Forecast: Lead monthly re‑forecasting of event costs in partnership with Event Leads, providing rolling forecasts that account for real‑time changes (e.g., permit fees, weather impacts, fluctuating attendance). Build and maintain comprehensive financial models for current and upcoming events, including detailed scenario planning and margin analysis. Track actuals vs. forecast with detailed variance analysis and commentary, ensuring visibility across Event level, Competition level (T100 / T50 / Challenger), and PTO Group level.
  • Performance Tracking & Analysis: Develop tools and trackers that help us monitor the performance of mass participation, commercial partnerships, and operations spend. Provide post‑event analysis to surface learnings and improve decision‑making for future races. Prepare high‑level dashboards using PowerBI highlighting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Revenue / Cost Per Participant, Sponsorship Margin, YoY growth. Conduct post‑event financial reviews. Compare actual event spend against the budget, identifying why variances occurred and how to optimise costs for the next event cycle.
  • Process & Data Management: Help streamline budgeting and reporting workflows between Finance and Events. Support the development of reporting templates and processes to make financial data more accessible across teams. Collaborate with the wider finance team on improvements to reporting systems and data integrity.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and relevant finance/analytical degree is desirable.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering – ideally within events, sport, entertainment, or a similar operationally complex environment.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and strong financial modelling ability.
  • Ownership of Event Operations budgeting and forecasting process, with the opportunity to drive wider commercial strategy.
  • Naturally collaborative and curious – you’re energised by working closely with non‑finance teams.
  • Strong communicator, able to translate numbers into clear stories and make finance accessible to stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter with a sharp attention to detail, but also able to zoom out and think strategically.
  • Experience working in a startup or scale‑up environment is a plus.
  • Exposure to accounting systems or BI tools (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, Power BI) a bonus, but not essential.
  • Passion for sport, live events, or mission‑driven organisations is a nice‑to‑have.

The opportunity to change the sport of triathlon and build something you can be really proud of. Flat working environment and a get‑things‑done company culture. Private health insurance through Vitality, including wellness benefits and more. 25 days holiday + Christmas break. Flexible Working Structure. Enhanced parental leave. Company share option scheme to drive ownership ability and allow financial participation in company success. Complimentary / discounted T100 event entries for employees, friends and family. Free snacks, drinks, gym classes, open water swim credits and more.
