The Events Assistant Apprentice will support the Events and Operations teams across a range of administrative, customer‐facing, and operational duties. The role provides hands‐on experience in event coordination, front‐of‐house service, client communication, and administrative support. It is designed to develop skills relevant to future roles such as Events Assistant, Events Administrator, or Sales and Events Executive. The apprentice will contribute to the smooth running of events, uphold excellent customer service standards, and assist in maintaining accurate administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities- Front of House & Event Support
- Assist the Events team in delivering exceptional service during events.
- Help meet and greet clients, guests, and organisers.
- Support event set‐up checks, including signage, room layout, and cleanliness standards.
- Respond to client requests during events and ensure smooth delegate flow.
- Assist in the delivery/collection of client materials to/from meeting rooms.
- Administrative Support
- Support Diary and Event Manager updating/maintaining background information.
- Support invoicing processes, including checking invoices and monitoring deposit payments (training provided).
- Produce daily event signage and assist with placement around the building.
- Support in producing enquiry or statistical reports as required.
- Event Coordination Support (training-focused)
- Handling client enquiries and assisting with proposals.
- Supporting provisional booking follow‐up and diary updates.
- Learning how to prepare function sheets and coordinate details with Operations and Catering.
- Attending show rounds with senior team members.
- Understanding AV requirements, room layouts, and event logistics planning.
- Customer Service
- Friendly, professional, and confident in dealing with clients face‐to‐face.
- Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
- Understanding of high customer service standards and guest care.
- Communication
- Clear verbal communication and polite telephone manner.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

- Experience across a wide range of events including conferences, dinners, hybrid events, and high‐profile meetings.
