This isn’t a desk-only design role; you’ll see your concepts move from initial idea through detailed modelling, build, test and commissioning. You’ll be working on-site five days a week at the Worcester facility, collaborating closely with production and commissioning teams, working 37 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays. Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for dynamometers, systems and associated products
- Translating customer requirements into practical, cost-effective and manufacturable design solutions
- Contributing to product testing and validation to ensure performance, safety and regulatory compliance
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation including drawings, specifications, manuals and test procedures
- Creating and managing components and BOM's within Visibility
- Refining existing product designs to improve performance, durability and manufacturability
- Troubleshooting
