Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:
- Servicing and repair of material handling equipment.
- Ordering of parts as efficiently as possible & ensuring all stock levels/movement records are accurate & correct
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the stipulated time period & with the relevant order numbers
- Manage own work-in-progress
- Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner
- Report any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediately
- To maintain familiarisation with policies & procedures & adhere to these. E.g. IT Policy, absence policy, etc.
- Attend training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment
Requirements of the Workshop Engineer:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Plant or similar is essential
- Served full apprenticeship
- Agricultural Engineers and Plant Fitters and FLT Engineers, workshop engineers or Field Service Engineers
- Technical experience in Engines, Electrics, Hydraulics and Diagnostics is compulsory.
