Professional Technical is currently looking for a Workshop Engineer for a brand new role based in Northampton. This role is perfect for Forklift Engineers, Vehicle Technicians or Plant Engineers who are looking for an on-site role. This day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 am until 4.30 pm, providing a great work-life balance and a salary of £35k, which rises after 2 months.
Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:
- Servicing and repairing material handling equipment.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the appropriate time period.
- Work as a team and as an individual.
- Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner.
- Report any unsafe practices and potential hazards directly to the Service Manager.
- To adhere to policies & procedures.
Requirements of the Workshop Engineer:
- Experience in Vehicle Maintenance, Plant, or Forklift Trucks.
- Skilled in the service and repair of vehicles.
- Workshop Engineers, Workshop Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, Master Technicians, Mechanics, Plant Fitters, Roadside Recovery, Agricultural Engineers, and FLT Engineers are all considered.
- Technical experience in Engines, Electrics, and Diagnostics is compulsory.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary of £35k rising after 2 months.
- Day shifts Monday to Friday - NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS.
- 20 days holiday + Bank holidays - Rising after 2 years.
- Career progression opportunities are readily available, due to some people wishing to move into Field Service and then Team Leader/management level.
