An Innovative Electronics Manufacturer based in Warwickshire are looking for a Production Manager with a manufacturing background to join the team. As Production Manager you will lead the production and testing of power-electronics systems, ensuring every unit meets specification, follows defined processes, and is fully documented. Alongside hands-on assembly and test work, you'll manage a small team of technicians, introduce and refine production processes, plan and communicate build schedules, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities of the Production Manager will include:
- Wiring & Loom Assembly - assembling wiring looms, crimping, and ensuring high-quality electrical connections
- Mechanical Assembly - building mechanical sub-assemblies to specification
- Electrical System Testing - carrying out system tests; experience with high-voltage systems is an advantage
- End-of-Line Testing - running final checks to ensure products meet performance and safety standards
- Traceability & Record-Keeping - maintaining accurate build and test records for compliance and performance monitoring
- Process Design & Optimisation - contributing to the design, improvement, and optimisation of production processes
- Work Instruction Preparation - creating clear, usable documentation for repeatable, high-quality builds
The key skills required for the Production Manager will be:
- ISO9001 Practices - experience working within an ISO9001-aligned environment is beneficial
- MRP Systems - comfortable working with MRP tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
- Workplace Health & Safety - strong awareness of safe working practices
- 5S Methodology - familiarity with maintaining an organised, efficient workspace
- Process Qualification - understanding of qualification and validation processes is a plus
