A leading renewable energy company in the Leicestershire region has an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Technician to join the team.

The company continues to expand its divisions, and this is a newly created opportunity where you will work alongside a small quality team.

This is initially on a 6-month contract but has real potential to become a permanent opportunity in the future with career progression into the supplier quality team.

We're looking at offering a fixed-term contract based on £40k to £43k or an hourly rate circa £20 p/h (Umbrella).

If FTC, then you will be eligible for the prorated benefits with the company.

Job purpose:
Minimise the likelihood and impact of poor quality from the supply chain.

Complete the required activities within the quality team to ensure quality-approved components are received and stocked.

Key

Responsibilities:
Conduct Goods Inward Inspection of both Mechanical and Electrical components.

Champion investigations into deviations from specifications and supplier's corrective actions.

Maintain Records for quality reporting.

Manage incoming material control plans.

Champion supplier-related concessions.

Conduct Product Quality Audits.

Initial Part Approvals.

Carry out product, process quality and QMS audits both internally and at the suppliers.

Requirements:
Appropriate level of qualification at City & Guilds level or above.

Familiarity with a range of measuring equipment and techniques.

Experience of interpreting engineering drawings.

Corrective action and root cause investigation.

Mechanical or Electronic background required, so expertise either in Mechanical with Quality Inspection and CMM Programming or Electronic with PCBA inspection and measurement.

Trained to IPC/610/620 level preferred but not essential.

In return, they offer an attractive hourly rate (PAYE or Umbrella) with a secured 6-month contract or can offer a fixed-term contract where you will be salaried and eligible for prorated benefits.
