An innovative technology manufacturer is looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a small production team while supporting the assembly, testing and delivery of advanced electrical and electronic systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth, where you will play a key role in developing scalable production processes, building a high-performing team, and supporting the successful delivery of innovative products.
As Production Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and motivate a small team of technicians.
- Manage production workflows using the MRP system.
- Carry out hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly.
- Assemble wiring looms and complete crimping activities.
- Perform inline and end-of-line testing.
- Maintain production records for traceability and quality.
- Create work instructions and improve manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitor KPIs and drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements.
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
The key skills required for the Production Supervisor will be:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong wiring, loom assembly, crimping and mechanical assembly skills.
- Experience testing electrical or electronic systems.
- Knowledge of MRP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
- Lean Manufacturing experience and relevant qualifications.
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Strong organisational and team leadership skills.
