A global leading manufacturing company has a newly created opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the team in the Scunthorpe area. The position has been created due to further expansion of the region and offers many opportunities for progression once you have joined the business. Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites within your postcode area. You will be working with an assortment of equipment including electric trucks. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing your own work in progress, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Attending regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment.
  • Being an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation.
  • Finding, diagnosing, and rectifying faults, and undertaking preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
Requirements of the Field Service Engineer:

NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential - Certificates will be required. Will consider experienced FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Roadside Recovery, Road Sweepers and more. Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) and/or hydraulics is required. IT Literate and comfortable with using the latest technology.

Salary and Benefits for the Field Service Engineer:

  • Full Door-to-Door payments for a field-based role, equating to an approx. additional £4k a year OTE £45k to £50k.
