Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer: Efficiently complete work assignments issued Demonstrate a team approach regarding maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support the Logistics team. Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties. Follow all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions at all times. Ensure that all Work Orders, PM\’s issued to the shift are completed. Complete and check all necessary paper work. Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the site and carry out prioritised work as agreed. Work with other functions to ensure mutual objectives are met. Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.). Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion. Order spare parts as required and log removal from stores in correct way. Provide the Engineering Manager with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM\’s completed and other details as required. Qualifications and skills required for this Maintenance Engineer role: NVQ Level 3 Engineering Qualification is a must. Electrically biased. Previous manufacturing / processing / warehouse / cold store industry experience. Can do approach, drive and ambition towards maintenance excellence. Basic Food Hygiene Basic Health & Safety Teamwork Data and analytic skills Computer literate. (word/excel/windows-based packages) Desirable skills:- PLC, hydraulics, temperature control , instrumentation, welding, FLT/MEWP license.
