About the Role

As an Electronics Production Engineer, you'll play a key part in improving and supporting the manufacturing processes used to test and assemble electronic products. You'll help maintain production test capability, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet the highest quality standards. You'll also get involved in investigating failures, analysing root causes, and helping shape the next generation of products through New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

Responsibilities for the Electronics Production Engineer will include:

  • Designing, commissioning, and maintaining automated production test equipment
  • Working closely with R&D to define test requirements for new products
  • Creating test fixtures, jigs, and supporting production equipment
  • Ensuring test processes reliably verify product performance and quality
  • Analysing workflows and production layouts to boost efficiency
  • Producing clear documentation for build, test, and manufacturing processes
  • Defining rework and repair procedures for failed units
  • Supporting NPI and validating new manufacturing processes

Skills needed for the Electronics Production Engineer:

  • A Degree or HNC/HND in Electronics or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts
  • Some experience (academic or practical) in root-cause analysis of electronic or PCBA failures
