A global manufacturer based in the West Midlands is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems that support their production processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and developing sheet metal components for manufacturing applications.
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production workflows.
- Producing detailed CAD models and technical drawings (CREO preferred, but open to other CAD software).
- Collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure designs meet performance and compliance standards.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with sheet metal in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of BOM creation and management.
- Proficiency in CAD software (CREO experience advantageous, but not essential).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in the West Midlands.
- Background in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller systems would be beneficial but not essential.
