A leading National Material Handling company has a newly created opportunity to join the business. The business has been established for over 60 years and is one of the most recognised names in the industry. They have gone through significant expansion with depots all over the country. They are proud of their achievements and due to their Yorkshire team, they would now like to appoint a Forklift Engineer to cover the West Yorkshire region. This business prides itself on having a friendly, supportive culture with opportunities for training and progression.
Responsibilities of the Forklift Engineer:
- Servicing and repair of Forklift trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
- Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
- Completing a report for each job on a PDA system.
- Driving to client locations.
Requirements of the role:
- NVQ Level 2 in Plant, Maintenance or Vehicle - Preferably Apprentice trained.
- Experienced Forklift Engineer - Vehicle Technicians and Plant Fitters will also be considered.
- Background on either Electric, Hybrid or Mechanical Trucks.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
- Present a professional image.
- Good team player.
In return, the Forklift Engineer will be offered the following package:
- Competitive salary of £33k to £40k (Inclusive of Door to Door).
- Company Van - Some personal usage allowance.
- Contracted 40-hour week, OT paid at time and a half.
