The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven, experienced Product Designer to join our fast-paced product development division. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on the challenge of transforming raw concept designs into practical, scalable, and manufacturable realities. You will spend your days balancing creative industrial design with solid engineering principles and real-world commercial goals. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between design and execution. Working alongside our research, engineering, and brand specialist teams, you will develop innovative solutions, guiding them from the initial sketch right through to the factory floor. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects, shape design direction, and deliver impact while continually honing your technical and creative skills.

What You Will Do Day-to-Day

  • Bring concepts to life: Translate initial product briefs into smart, sustainable, and highly functional breakthrough designs, guiding hardware through the entire lifecycle from discovery and R&D to final manufacture.
  • Own the technical detail: Generate accurate 3D CAD assemblies and parts using industry-standard parametric CAD software, lead R&D prototype development, create testing schedules, and maintain detailed engineering drawings to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate and problem-solve: Solve complex technical and aesthetic challenges with innovative solutions. You will embed yourself deeply into cross-functional project teams, building strong alignment and understanding distinct product goals.
  • Test and improve: Evaluate physical components for quality, tolerance, and performance. You will marry robust engineering solutions with aesthetic designs and high-fidelity 3D visualisations and renderings that reflect and elevate target design languages.
  • Manage the process: Keep multiple development tracks moving forward simultaneously across a diverse product portfolio, spanning early-stage ventures to global multinational projects. You will guide stakeholders through the development pipeline, setting themes and leading collaborative ideation sessions.
  • Nurture talent: Work alongside team leads to mentor and support junior members of the engineering and design team to help develop the next wave of talent.
  • Liaise with manufacturing: Work closely with external manufacturers and suppliers to ensure cost targets and design intent are rigorously maintained during the production phase.

About You

You are a creative thinker who fundamentally understands how physical products are manufactured. You thrive in a collaborative environment, stay calm when managing competing priorities, and bring the following qualifications:

  • Industry experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in industrial design or design engineering within a fast-paced product development environment, with a proven track record of leading physical product projects and teams.
  • Technical know-how: A recognised degree-level qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design, Design Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You possess strong hands-on prototyping skills, a deep understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) (e.g., injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, casting), and robust 3D modeling capabilities.
  • Great communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical and creative topics clearly to diverse stakeholders and internal team members. You excel at visual and verbal storytelling to generate inspiring, clear documentation.
  • Agility and initiative: A strong ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and a proactive drive to evaluate, prioritise, and deliver on commitments.

What Success Looks Like

When you settle into the role, success will mean delivering high-quality, market-ready hardware designs on time and within budget, with minimal production hitches along the way. You will become a trusted partner to our internal teams and external stakeholders, upholding our established market reputation for breakthrough product innovation within commercial, consumer electronics, and high-precision regulated hardware sectors.

What We Offer

  • Relocation Support: A comprehensive relocation package is available to help you transition smoothly to our Dublin location.
  • Exciting projects: The chance to design transformational product pipelines for globally recognised, ambitious brands and multinationals.
  • Growth and learning: A supportive environment that encourages self-development, helping you expand your technical capabilities and design toolkit.
  • A great environment: A highly collaborative, energetic team that continually pushes our collective engineering and creative ambitions.
