We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a large, well-established facilities management company, for a Senior Managing Engineer to lead automatic and industrial door operations across the Birmingham area.
This role is 60% hands-on and 40% office-based, combining technical door engineering with leadership responsibility. As a Senior Managing Engineer, you'll support service, maintenance, and call-out activities while managing a team of door engineers.
Key responsibilities:
- Hands-on work across automatic & industrial doors
- Manage engineer rotas, on-call cover, and PPM schedules
- Order parts and manage spares and materials
- Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers
- Ensure safety, compliance, KPIs, and SLAs are achieved
