Responsibilities of the Resident Engineer
- Reporting to the Service Manager you will be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on the customer's site.
- You will be working with an assortment of equipment including electric trucks.
- Managing your own work in progress, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment.
- Be an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation.
- You will be working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks, and automated trucks.
- You will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at their customer site.
Requirements of the Resident Engineer
- NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential - Certificates will be required.
- Will consider experienced FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Roadside Recovery, Road Sweepers and much more.
- Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) and/or hydraulics.
- IT Literate and be comfortable with using the latest technology.
Salary and Benefits for the Resident Engineer:
- OTE of £45k+
- 4 on 4 off continental shifts.
