The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the governing body responsible for overseeing and administering men's and women's professional squash worldwide.

With over 1,500 registered players and an impressive calendar of over 1,000 tournaments per season, the PSA showcases the pinnacle of squash in some of the most unique and stunning locations worldwide.

The PSA Group is composed of three distinct entities

  • Squash Media and
  • Marketing

Limited: Specialising in the promotion and broadcasting of squash, this entity ensures that the sport reaches a global audience through innovative media strategies and marketing campaigns.

Squash United Foundation: The charitable arm dedicated to promoting the growth of squash, supporting player welfare, and making the sport more accessible to all.

The PSA: The core organisation responsible for the governance, administration, and strategic development of professional squash.

WSO operates within the PSA Group as the global authority for squash officiating, founded by the PSA and World Squash.

Job Purpose

The WSO Assistant is a varied role, responsible for the effective assignment and administration of officials across PSA and World Squash events, and the administration of memberships across the 16,000 users on WSO’s education platform.

Upholding high standards in implementing processes, communication and coordination, the role will provide key support to the WSO team as we deliver our global officiating strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end coordination of referees at PSA and World Squash sanctioned events.
  • Upholding high standards of membership administration, dealing with renewals and enquiries and providing a high level of service to existing and prospective referees, users and stakeholders
  • Drafting and distributing official correspondence and operational updates to officials and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining WSO operational databases, user tracking systems and data collection processes.
  • Maintaining and updating internal and external communication channels, liaising with PSA Group staff members and external partners.

  • An understanding of officiating pathways in professional sports.
  • Experience in operational administration.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and data management skills.
  • Analytical and solution-focused, confident in problem-solving and decision making.
  • Experienced in relationship management with varied stakeholders.
  • Understanding the sport of squash and PSA/World Squash events or other elite sport.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field such as Sports Business Management.
  • Genuine interest in sport and enthusiasm for contributing to the growth and professionalism of squash officiating.
