We are on the lookout for a Head Door Supervisor in the Halifax & Huddersfield area who wants regular work at an established venue, earning competitive rates of pay. As the Head Door Supervisor (HD), your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of the venue's customers and staff through effective management of the Door Supervisor team. You will be managing a small team of Door Supervisors, ensuring they carry out all tasks in accordance with Assignment Instructions, whilst maintaining a positive image for Professional Security and our clients. You will need to lead by example, setting high standards for the team and work closely with the client to ensure a smooth and safe service.
While previous experience in a similar role is desirable, we are equally open to candidates who are ready to take their first step into team leadership. We value strong character, practical skills, and high standards more than just what's listed on a CV. The successful candidate will receive ongoing support and development from a hands-on Area Manager.
Job Specification
- Immediate start available
- This is a part-time role
- Regular work Friday and Saturday evenings, additional hours available
- Between 12 - 30 hours per week on average
- Shifts are usually between 5 - 8 hours
- PAYE position – NOT CASH. Wages paid weekly
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing & coordinating the on-site security team
- Carrying out the duties of a Door Supervisor as part of the team
- Completion of all paperwork, reports & timesheets
- Dealing with customer interactions professionally and effectively
- Ensuring the safety and security of the venue, staff and visitors
Essential Criteria
- Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Must be able to reliably commute to & from late night shifts in Halifax and Huddersfield
- At least 3 years experience in the security industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to read and write English clearly and accurately
- Ability to motivate and manage a team, leading by example
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as a Head Door Supervisor or a similar role
- Full UK Driving Licence & access to own transport
