We are looking for an experienced, reliable
Senior Kitchen Porter (Grade M2)
for a 1-day assignment on
Monday, 19th October 2026
Working a manageable 6-hour day shift (09:30 to 15:30), you will take ownership of the kitchen wash-up area, ensure back-of-house hygiene standards are strictly maintained, and support the kitchen team during peak service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the deep cleaning of pots, pans, utensils, and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial passthrough dishwashers efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all clean catering equipment, crockery, and cutlery are organized and returned to correct storage areas.
- Carry out routine kitchen sanitation, waste disposal, and surface cleaning in line with Grade M2 standards.
- Assist the head chef/kitchen team with heavy lifting, deliveries, and basic kitchen prep area setup where required.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH regulations throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Kitchen Porter or Lead KP in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment.
- Solid understanding of COSHH, food safety regulations, and chemical handling.
- Strong work ethic, physically fit, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent punctuality and professional presentation.
